The castle is spotless...the home study must be today (for those who wonder, the castle is always spotless; today it just has an extra sparkle). Daddy and Mommy don't have the results yet but I am sure it will be fine. The castle is a very fine castle. Harley is still hanging in there. She made it a point to let the inspectors know that (a) She has a large tumor on her face and needed pity; (b) Was a very friendly, well behaved puppy. Sebastian was tempted to introduce himself to the inspectors then thought better of it at the last second. Rufus, well Mommy had to extract Rufus from the corner of the closet after the inspectors left. One day Rufus will learn that Mommy would not let anyone eat him.
Mommy and daddy have to finish the home study on September 10 by meeting with the inspectors in their office. So far things look great and Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to my arrival.

Food, Fun and Family
Tonight my biological family (which includes four brothers and one sister who live at home with my biological parents) met with Daddy and Mommy. Everyone had a great time. Daddy and Mommy were very impressed with how well behaved my biological brothers and sister are and could tell that my biological parents are doing a great job raising them. My biological father's granddaughter was there too. Mommy got to hold her a lot and is looking forward to being able to hold me. Daddy held her too but Mommy thinks he needs some classes on how to properly care for a baby.
Before everyone got there Daddy tried to convince Mommy that the baby was 9 months old and commented on how small she was (he met her the day before). He said that she wasn't much bigger than my furry brother Rufus. Mommy seemed to think he was wrong because she remembered my biological parents talking about her before and her being younger. Daddy insisted she was nine months old. Mommy gave up questioning him on the matter. Upon later inquiry, Mommy was right to question Daddy because the baby was only nine weeks old. I am sure that I will teach Daddy all about babies.

Seeing is Believing
Mommy apparently learned her lesson last time and made it clear to Daddy that under no circumstances was he allowed to miss any more doctor's appointments. Both of my biological parents were there today too. My biological father and Daddy had a great time visiting with each other while my biological mother and Mommy were taking the appointment seriously. The doctor took another sonogram today and today no one could deny that I am definitely a Zachary Edward. Any doubting Thomas' out there could no longer deny that I am all boy.
I am developing really well. My biological mother is doing a great job taking care of me. Next appointment is August 31. In the mean time though, everyone is getting together on August 10.
