I recieved my very first package today from the UPS Man! My Aunt Terri, Uncle Tom and my cousins Jake and Brooke sent me two of the cutest outfits. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am really looking forward to meeting them. I have a feeling that I am going to be crazy about them, especially my cousins Jake and Brooke.
In any event, Mommy can't wait to see me in my outfits. Daddy liked them both a whole lot too. I think Daddy is beginning to understand the types of outfits that Mommy wants to see me in. I have to be sure to help him convince Mommy that a boy needs to have some "hanging out with Daddy clothes." I am pretty sure though that in time, Mommy will understand that we are going to be just a couple "bubbas " and we are going to need the outfits to fit the part.

Mommy and Daddy Buy a Boy Some Clothes!
Mommy and Daddy went shopping today (finally). Mommy picked me out two cute outfits and some bibs. Mommy also told Daddy to pick out an outfit for me. Daddy picked me out this really cool denim overall set with race cars on it for me. I am sure that Mommy wanted to make him put it back but she simply told him that I was not coming home from the hospital wearing that. I have to take Daddy's side because he put a lot of thought into which outfit he picked out for me. He did a great job if I have to say so myself. I think Mommy has assigned the outfit to be a "hanging out with my Daddy outfit," which is perfectly fine by me because I plan to hang out with my Daddy a whole lot.
The official shopping excursion is going to be the weekend of October 8. Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Lenny and Aunt Patty plan on going to Dallas to see my Aunt Lili, Uncle Frank and my cousins Jesse and Joey. The girls are going to go shopping to buy me lots of stuff (well they better). Mommy needs to get a move on because I will be here in no time.

Ouch!! You Poked Me In My Eye!
Well I had another check up today! While Mommy, Daddy and birth mother were listening to my heart beat, they decided they would pass the time by poking at me. I am pretty certain that Daddy poked me in the eye. I am going to have Mommy sue him just as soon as I am born! For those who wonder though, Daddy definitely knew what he was listening to today. Also, my birth mother is doing great following her surgery a week and a half or so ago. We are all relieved because Mommy, Daddy and I would hate for her to ever feel bad.
My birth mother told Mommy that she ought not let Daddy drive me around. (If anyone wants to buy me a practical gift, it might be a crash helmet for me to wear in the rare event that Mommy lets Daddy chauffeur me around!! Ha! All jokes aside, I am absolutely positive that Daddy will be more careful than he usually is when he is driving with me in the car.)
I didn't mention it the other day but I got another present two days ago. I got a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament from Daddy's friend Sybil. (I can't wait to hang it on the Christmas tree.) I think I am going to like all this attention and present business. Mommy's friends have to pay attention now. I have it from a very close and reliable source...Mommy is on the brink of going crazy buying all kinds of things for my favoritest person, ME, and I can't wait to see everything she gets me.
In any event, the next appointment is October 13.

Will the Drama Never End?
Just when Mommy thought it was okay to breathe a sigh of relief Daddy decided it was his turn to cause a little mayhem in the kingdom. Daddy took Harley to work with him today (she works for food only so I am told. I have news for Daddy though, if he thinks I am going to work for his company he is going to have to pay me BIG BUCKS and I want a car and driver too!).
Any way, Daddy decided that he and Harley should call it a day so they left work early. On his way home he rear ended the mail man. Poor mail man and Harley! Everyone is okay though, well except Daddy's truck. Daddy had to call Mommy to come get him but he couldn't reach her because she was in a hearing. So Mommy's boss had to interrupt her hearing to tell her that Daddy and Harley had been in an accident. Her boss did a good job of making a poker face when he was trying to get her attention but Mommy panicked after listening to what he had to say about Daddy. Mommy had to go and rescue Daddy and Harley from the side of the road and was relieved to see that both of them appeared to be okay. Mommy later learned that Daddy blamed Harley as a possible cause of the accident to the policeman. Daddy told the police that Harley might have been barking at the time! Mommy is going to represent Harley when she sues Daddy for slander. In any event, I am glad that every one is okay because that is the important thing. I just hope that Daddy doesn't have an accident with me in the car. I am sure he will do his best not to though because I know he loves me already and will always do his best to keep me safe. If nothing else, Daddy can make sure that Mommy always drives me.
P.S. Mommy is hoping that tomorrow won't bring any more drama.

It's Only Monday!
I had my first hospital visit today. My biological mother was having problems with her appendix. I was really worried about my biological mother but I figured it would all be okay. We underwent surgery today to remove her appendix. We got through the procedure just fine and my biological mother is doing great.
Mommy says that she and Daddy went to the hospital to visit with my biological father while he waited. Daddy had a great time visiting with my biological father. He also got to talk with my biological grandmother and my biological step-grandmother. They were all nervous at first but it all worked out fine. Mommy was too busy playing with my biological brothers and sister to sit down and talk with all the grown ups. Mommy really likes all of my biological brothers and sister, she thinks they are great kids and they really crack her up.

An Inspection of the Kingdom Part Deux
Daddy and Mommy went to the second visit for the home study today. They traveled to a far off town to meet with the Applers for the second home study visit. The meeting went well. The Applers still have to wait for some paperwork to come back from the State before the home study can be completely finished.
Mr. Appler gave Mommy a book that she gets to read to me it is an adoption story called "The Mulberry Bird." I can't wait for Daddy and Mommy to read it to me.

Little Swimmer
Daddy and Mommy went to my appointment today. Daddy and Mommy got to listen to my heart beat today. I wasn't too cooperative at first but I eventually settled down to give them a listen. Daddy eyes lit up and he grinned when he heard me "swimming around". Mommy isn't convinced that he knew what he was grinning at and reminded him that it was my heart beat. Daddy just grinned and grinned. I am developing nicely. I am pretty active right now and I am enjoying "swimming" all around.
Next appointment is September 22.
