Profiled!

Mommy and Daddy went to my biological mother's doctor's appointment today. The doctor took my picture today. Mommy says I am absolutely gorgeous. I have to admit, I am one handsome guy. Daddy can't wait to see me in person so that he can hold me and talk to me to tell me just how wonderful I am. I have a feeling he will be doing a whole lot of that. Anyways, they estimated my weight to be 5.8 lbs (Hello people, I am not a jar of jelly beans! You shouldn't try and guess my weight). I have been tormenting my biological mother at 4 in the morning and I am looking forward to tormenting Mommy and Daddy at 4 in the morning too. My biological mother had been wondering what part of me was pestering her so much, it turns out that it was my "boney butt" that has been making her crazy. The doctor still hasn't said when I am going to make my debut so everyone please try to be a little patient. You can't rush beauty and perfection! Next appointment is November 10, so maybe, just maybe everyone will have a better idea then as to when all of my admirers can start to form a line to see me. Anyone who arrives before Auntie Norma, please feel free to cut in front of her.

Wow! More Presents!

Mommy is in this Leadership Development Program at work and today Vickie Spicer (she works for the same agency as Mommy but far away in Fort Smith) gave her a present for me. I got two cute outfits, some socks and two fleece receiving blankets. I really love all this pre-birth attention I am getting. I can't wait to send Mommy to one of her classes with a ton of pictures of my favorite subject, ME!

Mural Smural

Auntie Tedi came today to start the mural. Mommy bought this projector thingy that shot a picture of my bedding up on the wall and Aunti Tedi traced it onto the wall. Mommy bought some cheap paint so, she has to get better paint for they can paint in the animals. It is going to look really really cool. Auntie Tedi is not sure about the monkey though. She says it looks like a rat or a koala bear. I am sure that she and Mommy can make it look like a proper monkey though.

Auntie Norma and Nana Olga came by to monitor the progress. I am going to have to tell Nana Olga not to worry because Rufus won't smother me. Jeez...everyone has it in for Rufus. Mommy and Daddy are getting me a thing called a crib tent so that Rufus can't jump into my crib to cuddle with me (at least until I convince them that I am big enough for the responsibility of cuddling with Rufus at night). Something tells me though that the crib tent will have another purpose, perhaps to keep me in when I get bigger.

Anyway, Auntie Tedi and Mommy are going to finish the mural soon because Mommy got some better paint. Auntie Norma is going to come over to help too. I will put a picture of my mural up when it is done. I can't wait to see it!

No Drawer For Me & Daddy Buys A Boy More Clothes!!

Guess what everybody, I finally got my very own crib and matching dresser/changing table! It's about time too because I was beginning to wonder if Mommy was serious when she said I could always sleep in an opened drawer. Daddy and Mommy went every where to look for a crib and matching dresser for me and finally found one at the fifth or sixth store they went to. They also laughed because they found my lamp and switch plate there too. That is no big deal though because that was at the same store that they bought my bedding at and they didn't have it at the time. (Auntie Lili, the mission for the other stuff is still on because Mommy still can't find that stuff any where.) Good thing the sales people at Baby Depot were on their toes because Mommy was so excited about them actually having my furniture that she forgot all about me needing a mattress too! I am pretty sure though that Daddy would have mentioned it if the sales people didn't.

Anyway, Daddy is busy trying to warm Mommy up to the ice hockey idea. He bought me this hockey outfit (the picture of the shirt is what you first see in this entry) for me to wear around. I think I am going to watch my cousins Jesse and Joey play in one of their games and I can wear my outfit while I cheer them on. He picked out other outfits for me too. I think I have enough "hanging out with Daddy" clothes now. Well, at least that is what Mommy says.

Ciao Baby!

Mommy had lunch today with Ms. Shirley and Ms. Phyllis. Mommy use to work with both of them when she worked as an attorney for DHS and hasn't seen the two of them in a while. She e-mails with Ms. Phyllis often though. Mommy ordered an ice tea and then made sure that Ms. Shirley didn't put beer in it. They had an encounter with beer tea before. Mommy says you have to keep an eye on Ms. Shirley.

I am quite the lucky boy because Ms. Shirley got me presents!!! Ms. Shirley got me the cutest outfit. It has a puppy on it and a puppy face on the rear. I am going to wear that outfit when I hang out with my puppy Harley. I also got sleepers. Thank you, thank you. I have to be sure to send her a thank you card via Mommy because Mommy doesn't think that Ms. Shirley is too up to date on Internet technology. When I asked Mommy why, she just mumbled something about Venezuelan orphans on Ms. Shirley's computer wallpaper. In any event, I can't wait to meet Ms. Shirley. I sure hope she teaches me to eat doughnuts! Mommy said that she is going to hide me from Ms. Phyllis though. At least until I learn to stick my tongue out and say "pplllllll."

Can You Hear Me Now?

Daddy and Mommy went to my doctor's appointment today. Daddy and Mommy both got to poke at me. Daddy just smiled and smiled when he touched me. Maybe next time I will kick him just so he knows that I know him.

Mommy was hoping that they would take a sonogram today so she could see me. Apparently the doctor had different plans and chose to listen to my heartbeat again. Anyway, I wiggled and wiggled away from the gizmo because I was trying to get my picture taken but eventually they managed to corner me so they could hear my heart. I have a very strong heartbeat. My biological mother is taking extra good care of me. Everything looks (or at least sounds) good so far. I am suppose to get my picture taken at the next appointment. Mommy really wants to see what I look like. She knows that I am a beautiful baby boy but just wants to see for herself how I am going. Let's keep our fingers crossed that I will get a new picture taken at the next appointment.

The doctor doesn't know when I am going to be delivered. I think everyone wants me to come soon because they are so excited and can't wait to see me. The next appointment is October 27. Maybe they will find out at the next appointment when I will finally be able to meet everyone, especially Mommy and Daddy.

Aunt Lili has joined the quest in trying to find the rest of my accessories for my "Two By Two" theme. She is off tomorrow so she is going back to Baby Depot in Grapevine Mills where she found my other things. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that she will succeed in finding me more accessories. Let's also keep our fingers crossed that she finds the mall all by herself and arrives there and back safely. She doesn't have the best sense of direction but we got to love her because she is one of the best Aunts a boy can have.

Down In Dallas

Daddy, Mommy, Harley, Uncle Lenny, Aunt Patty, and Jessica went to Dallas this weekend to see my Auntie Lili, Uncle Frank and my cousins Jesse and Joey. Joey thinks that I need to play ice hockey like he and Jesse do. Joey says that if I play hockey he wants to call me "Hockey Zack." I will have to talk to Mommy about it. I know Daddy will let me but anyone who knows Mommy already knows why I will have to convince her that it is a perfectly safe sport for me to play.

BIG NEWS!! Aunt Lili was able to track down my lamp and switch plate. They had to drive about an hour to the store to get it but we got it. Hopefully Mommy will be able to find the remaining pieces. Aunt Lili is too cool for helping Mommy find some of the accessories. I just hope that corporate America hurries up and puts the rest of my accessories on the shelves.

Anyway, the picture that I posted is of the outfit that Auntie Lili, Uncle Frank, Jesse and Joey got for my Daddy (well reallyfor me). It is the coolest outfit that a boy can have. I won't be able to wear it for about a year but I am looking forward to the day that I can. Mommy said that I can even wear it when she is around. In any event, this was Daddy's favorite outfit of the weekend. Mommy, Auntie Lili, Aunt Patty and Jessica all went to pick out some outfits for me. I gots some really nice outfits. Mommy bought me two outfits from Baby Gap that she thought were really cute. When she told Daddy how much she paid for those two outfits Daddy just smiled and said, "They are wonderful." Daddy really is the smartest guy I know. Besides, a boy has to look good.

We are getting closer to the big day. Someone tell Daddy and Mommy that they better hurry up and get my room done. Oh yeah, Auntie Tedi and Mommy are suppose to paint a mural in my room to match the Ark. I sure hope they do it. I will look great!

To Ferber or Not To Ferber

Daddy and Mommy went to a parenting class tonight. It was a three hour crash course for expectant parents. Mommy had the tiniest tummy there. I bet none of the other people would believe that she is so far along!!

Anywho, Daddy learned a lot tonight and he even managed to pay real close attention. He did chuckle when they mentioned the Ferber method for making a baby go to sleep by himself. I think he has plans on trying this method out some day. Mommy realized that Daddy might think that the Ferber method might be useful and was quick to assure him that she won't let me be tormented like that just so that I will learn to fall asleep alone. What ever Zacky wants, Zacky shall have. (Yea! Mommy!)

On a serious note though, Mommy found the class very useful in learning tips that will help Daddy and her really bond and communicate with me in order to help develop my senses and intellect. It all boils down to spoiling me rotten with lots of love and attention. I think they will get an "A+" in that area.

Mommy's Quest!

Mommy left on an adventure today to see if she could find me some "Two by Two" accessories for my room. Mommy rules! She found me some valances, a blanket, wall hangings, a blanket alternative, and a pillow. She was going to buy the matching border for my room but decided against, which is why she bought the valances because she thought the room would look much better that way. Now all she has to do is find the matching carpet, lamp, switch plate, picture frame and hamper. Maybe corporate america will come through for her and either have them sent to the shelves or tell her where she can order them.

A Prince Gets Some Bedding and Mommy Gets a Headache!

Daddy and Mommy went shopping today to buy more stuff for their favoritest person, ME! Mommy loved the the little airplane bedding but didn't pick it because it didn't match the color of my room. Daddy and Mommy then found the Kidsline "Two by Two" bedding and fell in love with it. They also found me the matching musical mobile. It makes sense to me to have a Noah's Ark theme afterall, I am a boy with two sets of parents, which means I have twice the amount of love! Also, my grandpa Len is building him his very own and very big sailboat (Mommy sometimes refers to him as "Noah" and his boat as "the Ark" but I won't tell!). I sure hope he takes me on the boat one day.

Mommy and Daddy looked all over the store for the matching accessories (okay, maybe it was just Mommy because Daddy always wanders off in the store--a habit he better not teach me if he knows what's good for him) but Mommy couldn't find any of them. She thought about switching it out for the "Zanzibar" theme but Daddy really wanted me to have the "Two by Two" theme so Mommy agreed that she could just get the rest of the accessories off the Internet. HA! Good luck!

Mommy began her Internet search for the accessories as soon as she and Daddy returned to the castle. Mommy searched for HOURS even enlisting the help of the Kidline company page, Google, Dogpile, Webcrawler, eBay, Yahoo and she even asked Jeeves but no such luck. There is no mention of my bedding line anywhere. Mommy even checked the Yahoos of Canada, Mexico, Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. The "Two by Two" theme by Kidsline is no where to be found. Mommy had a HUGE headache tonight because her search of the universe was unsuccessful. (Auntie Tedi--You have to speak with the shopping gods about locating matching accessories, a boy has to accessorize if you know what I mean).

Mommy finally decided that she better email Kidsline to inquire about that product line because the label on the comforter shows an August 2005 delivery date so the line has to exist. Mommy is now thinking that maybe the product line hasn't been introduced yet and I have something that I shouldn't. Well I have news for Kidsline if Mommy is correct, don't bother suggesting that we surrender the bedding and mobile...WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER THE BOOTY!!!!!!!!!
