Hey Cupid!!!

Happy late Valentine's Day everyone!!! Mommy would have posted a message yesterday but we have been having technical difficulties!! I got a HUGE bear from Daddy for Valentine's Day!!! Mommy got me a not as HUGE bear for Valentine's Day too. I got a red lion from Aunt Kay and Uncle Carl and a singing balloon!

We had a party at the Baby Penitentiary yesterday. I got all kinds of Valentine's cards. We had lots of goodies. I had to cut my day short though because I decided to run a fever yesterday afternoon so the wardens had to call Mommy to come bust me out. Good thing I didn't miss the party!!! I did miss getting to go to dinner with Mommy and Daddy. We were all going to go out for dinner but I got sick, so we stayed home...Sorry Mommy and Daddy!!!

I still had a temperature today, so I stayed home with Mommy so she could take care of me. I tried to have fun staying at home but Mommy is a party pooper and did not want me running wild playing with my toys. Cupid must have hit her in the head with an arrow because the sense has been knocked out of her...since when is she in charge??? Anyway, I am going to Kay Care tomorrow because Mommy and Daddy want me to have one more day away from the other inmates just to make sure that I am okay and that they cannot give me anything else. (Mommy remembered today that when she picked me up yesterday everyone in the room was crying...Mommy doesn't think that it is a good sign.)

Man Of The House!!!

I am exhausted!!! I have been having to be the man of the house for the past two days because Daddy dumped Mommy and me!!! Daddy went to a business meeting again...Mommy reminded me that I was the man of the house last year around this same time because Daddy ditched us then too!!! Anyway, Mommy is happy to report that I have been doing an excellent job of making sure that the house is properly secured, the alarm is activated, Sebastian and Rufus are properly accounted for, the coffee is prepped for the next pot, trash goes out, little box cleaned, and that my brothers get fed. All of that in addition to my regular duties! I am pooped!!!

I had to go to the doctor this morning. The doctor wanted to recheck my sinus and I had to get the second dose of my flu shot. I started screaming the minute I saw the doctor. Mommy tried to convince me that the Doctor wasn't going to hurt me but I had to remind Mommy that there is a first time for everything. Anyway, my sinuses are good and I took my flu shot like a man (well maybe a little man). Guess what?? I got to work today even though Daddy wasn't there to drive me. Mommy told me I was going to work this week but I have to admit that I didn't believe her because Daddy wasn't home. I was so happy to see Aunt Kay and Uncle Carl! I had a blast playing with them all day!!!

Well that was my day!! Daddy comes home tomorrow, which makes me happy because being the Man of the House for too much longer will just wear me out!!! He better bring me a good present home. Mommy will punish him if he airports me!!

They Are In!!! Finally!!!!

Okay people, the pictures of beautiful ol' me are finally in!!! Mommy picked them up Friday and I look good!!! Any how, those of you who are confident that you will be receiving a picture of me, be looking for your friendly mail man to deliver them to you. Mommy promises to get them in the mail this week!!

This weekend was loads of fun!! Yesterday, I got to see Sommer and she brought me some more tongue depressors. I didn't want to take them from her because Mommy says I shouldn't take tongue depressors from strangers...even if they are grape and cherry flavored. Mommy and Sommer ditched us and went to Hot Springs. Big deal though, because Daddy and me went to Little Rock. I got to play with Aunt Kay and Uncle Carl while Daddy worked!! Then we all went to lunch at Chili's. Anyhow, Mommy and Sommer came home as I was eating dinner. I remembered Sommer this time and made her eat my grapes!! Sucker!!!

Today, Mommy, Daddy and me went to Little Rock again. First we went to Toys 'R Us and bought me a tricycle and a new truck! I even used my own money. Thanks Aunt Lili, Uncle F.O., Jesse and Joey for hooking me up with Toys 'R Us bucks! Hey Joey, Mommy says Aunt Lili says you are going to hook me up with some Six Flags passes. Do you think the game guy will let me win a few games so I can get free prizes??? Anyway, after we left Toys 'R Us, we went to Best Buy. Mommy looked at I Pod and cell phone stuff and Daddy looked at TV and surround sound stuff. When Mommy decided to come and fetch me from Daddy she decided that maybe I ought to be able to look at stuff I want to see too. So guess what, she took me to see all the vacuums!!! I was in hog heaven I tell you. There were vacuums everywhere and I got to touch them!!! I have to admit I cheated on my Kirby with a Dyson!! As we were leaving we saw my biological grandmother! Daddy gave her his new picture of me from his wallet!! I wasn't too sure about her though because I was just one day old last time I saw her!!! Daddy dropped Mommy and me off at the mall while he went to a meeting. I got some cool shirts and new shoes!!!!!! I got me a brand new pair of Nikes! Mommy decided that Daddy needed Daddy friendly shoes...meaning they have fake shoe laces and are secured by Velcro!

Long Time No Write!!!

I suppose it is update time. My secretary really needs to be fired because she has been doing a lousy job of keeping everyone updated. I am pretty much recovered from my illness. My cellmates have been trying to get me sick again but so far they have failed!!

I have a new morning Warden and I just love her! She is so nice to me and I am always happy to see her. Actually, she has been out of town this week so I have been having to have someone else take care of me. Yesterday she said "Hi Jake" when Mommy dropped me off. Mommy said, "Hi Zachary." The temporary warden said that Jake and I look so much a like. Mommy doesn't think so because I am way cuter. Mommy also says that Jake's parents know that I am cuter too. Daddy told Mommy that he doesn't think that Jake's parents realize that I am the better looking one. Mommy told Daddy that if they don't know it then they are just blind and dumb. Mommy also quickly added that she is not biased, she is simply honest! Anyway, I got off point. This morning when Mommy dropped me off, the warden said "Hi Zachary." Mommy quickly responded, "You mean Hi Jake!" The warden laughed but said that wasn't very nice!!

Daddy and I have been doing our usual doughnut run on Saturdays. Lately we have wrapped Starbucks into our journey. The other weekend the Starbuckians gave Daddy extra shots in his coffee for some doughnuts! Can you believe that Daddy gave away some of my doughnuts just for some extra shots of coffee??? Anyway, last Saturday Daddy had the doughnut lady divide our doughnuts up into two boxes. Then we headed off to Starbucks...ha!! The doughnut swappers were off!!! It worked out though because Aunt Patty, Uncle Fester, Ryan and Jessica came over so we had doughnuts for them too. Can you believe that Uncle Fester ate all my doughnuts!!! Then he tried to get onto Aunt Patty saying she ate too many doughnuts. My Aunt Patty loves me and wouldn't eat all my doughnuts. She kept giving me the doughnuts! Daddy gave me a doughnut and a cookie for breakfast on Sunday. He got into trouble when Mommy woke up and found out that he didn't give me anything nutritious for breakfast. Mommy just needs to mind her own business. What Daddy and I decide to have for breakfast should just be between us men folk. Daddy will have to explain to me one day what he means by it just doesn't work that way.

I am still having a great love affair with the vacuum. I just love that Kirby!!!! The first thing I do every day when I get home and when I get up in the morning is to make sure that the vacuum has not left the house. The vacuum did make me mad last week because it kept falling over. Mommy got tired of me crying and screaming about it, so she spanked the vacuum, told it that it was a bad vacuum and sent it to bed without dinner. I am only 13 months old (at the time) so I can admit it without being called names. I fell for it. I was completely satisfied with the vacuum getting spanked and sent to bed without dinner. Served it right!! I had the same issue with the vacuum cleaner the next night. Mommy really thought that I might be gullible and tried punishing the vacuum again. What was she thinking??? I may have fallen for that trick once but hey, I was a day older and I wasn't going to fall for it again!!

Next topic--Tongue depressors. Sommer got into trouble because Mommy told her not to step on my two grape tongue depressors that were on the floor of the car (I have a collection of tongue depressors that the doctor gives me. I usually end up throwing them at the doctor but I like hang onto several). So what did Sommer do??? That's right, she stepped on my tongue depressors. I have been collecting them and since her nasty shoes got all over my sticks Mommy won't let me play with them. Sommer had to get me two new grape tongue depressors. Mommy says that Sommer got me a box of 50 grape tongue depressors and a box of 50 cherry tongue depressors. Mommy won't get the boxes for me and only took two replacement grapes and two penalty cherries. So now when ever I see Sommer I can beg her for a couple of tongue depressors for my collection.

I Am Hot!!!

What a week!!! Mommy had to come fetch me from the Baby Penitentiary last Thursday because I was running a temperature!! She took me to see the doctor. I had to get a sinus x-ray taken so he could see if my sinuses were infected. Mommy was mad because the x-ray guy had Daddy operate the machine while Mommy had to stay in the hall. I guess my sinuses were sick because the doctor gave me some antibiotics that I have to take for three weeks. The doctor thinks that he hasn't been treating me long enough for my previous sinus infections and is hoping that three weeks of antibiotics and another sinus xray before that time period ends will cure the problem. I went to work with Daddy on Friday...guess what, I was running a temperature again so Aunt Kay and Uncle Carl thought they better get Mommy involved. Mommy took me to see the doctor again because my temperature was high and I wasn't looking too well. The doctor decided that I might have a virus and it would have to run its course.

Guess what, Friday night (or Saturday morning depending on if you believe the glass is half full or half empty) my temperature got up to 105 and I got to go to the emergency room. I'll tell you what, I saw Nurse Naomi there and I thought she was hotter than me if you know what mean. Anyway, they told Mommy and Daddy not to worry about my temperature because I was acting fine. Mommy told me that she doesn't care what the doctor's say, if I am running a fever of 105 she is taking me to the doctor even if I am laughing and have the biggest smile on my face.

My temperature was perfect all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday. Mommy and Sommer had a road trip planned and since all looked well they decided to go ahead and go...HA!!! They got checked into the hotel and then had to turn right back around and come home because my temperature shot up to 105. All I wanted to do is see Nurse Naomi again (Daddy was kind enough to take me to see if she was working---Okay, so maybe Mommy told him to take me there). Anyway, Nurse Naomi wasn't there so I decided that my temperature and attitude would get better so Daddy and I could go home. I laughed when Mommy walked back in the door! Anyway, I had a little fever on Monday but Mommy made me go to the doctor again anyway...just to be safe. My fever was almost gone by Tuesday morning.

Guess what else??? I got new shoes!!!! Mommy got me some Nike Shox because I have been sick. I just love my big boy shoes! Daddy is jealous because he does not have cool shoes like me!! Mommy told me to be careful because the other cellmates may try to beat me up to take my shoes. I am not too worried about it because I am the biggest boy in the room and I can take all of them on!!

Well it was back to the Baby Penitentiary today. I wasn't too happy to have to go but Mommy said that I cannot go to work this week because she wants me to be calm so I can fully recover from being sick. I tried to convince Mommy that it would be okay for me to go to work and that I could be calm there but she knows I can't control myself at work. I can't help it, I get so excited to see Aunt Kay and Uncle Carl and all my toys there!!

I Am Officially A Big Boy!!!

Mommy and Daddy finally succeeded in getting me my flu shot! I should have known that something was up when Mommy left me at home with Daddy on a Tuesday!! Oh well, I am just relieved that I don't have to worry about getting a bad case of the flu (knock on wood)!!

I have been on an apple kick lately. Mommy has to give me my apple every night before I go to bed or I won't! Daddy forgot to give me one the other night when Mommy was at the gym. I was in bed when she got home. When Mommy came to bed (she took over from Daddy sitting with me) she had a cut up apple on the night stand. Well I smelled it and sat straight up and demanded my share! It was good too!!!

Well I became an official big boy today!!! Daddy took me to get my very first hair cut today (Mommy went with us to make sure that Daddy didn't get me a hair cut to match his!)! Mommy and Daddy were real sad because I look like a big boy with my trimmed up hair. I didn't like getting a hair cut but I must admit, I look good!!

Tomorrow I am going to have brunch with Grandpa Len and Granny Bev. I know they are going to be impressed with my grown up look!!! Well that is all for now.

'Twas The Second Day After Christmas!!

I wonder if Christmas is ever going to end??!! Mommy busted me out of the Baby Penitentiary early today so we could go visiting people. I got to go to Mommy's office to say hi to Ms. Tria and everyone. I wasn't too sure about everyone at first but I eventually warmed up to them. Ms. Joann even let me type a transcript!!! Ms. Charlette was there but she didn't get too close because she knew that I would try to pull her hair out again. She did give me some of her apple and it was yummy!!!! After we left Mommy's office we went to see Sommer and Chandra. Can you believe it, Sommer had a present for me!!! I got another Christmas present!! Sommer helped me open it...I got a Tubby Tugboat. I got to play football with everyone at Worker's Comp (well the women folk at least) and played catch with Mr. Turner (Sommer's boss). I fell asleep as soon as Mommy got me into the car. Which means I was cheated out of my trip to Toys 'R Us. That's okay though because Mommy said we can go there another day when I am better rested and can best select my toy or toys!!

Well that was my day!!
