Happy Birthday To Me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday To Me! Happy Birthday To Me! You know the rest...

I made my grand entry into the world at 2:36 a.m. I was 8 pounds 12 ounces and 20 and 1/2 inches long. Mommy has said all along that I am absolutely beautiful and now she has living proof of it.

Mommy and Daddy were in the delivery room with my birth parents. As expected, Harley Bear was also there watching and worrying over me and my birth mother. Mommy tells me that Harley Bear will give me a complete play by play of my arrival. My Grandma Dale and Grandpa Jim came to the hospital that night because everyone thought I might be born at a reasonable hour. Grandma and Grandpa liked my biological parents a whole lot. My godparents Kay and Carl also came to wait for my arrival. For some reason the doctor decided to delay inducing labor and everyone thought it would be early to mid morning before I would make my arrival (I don't think my birth mother bought into this theory though). So Grandpa and Grandma went back to Dardanelle and planned on driving back up early in the morning to await my arrival. Aunt Kay and Uncle Carl also went home. Daddy and Mommy stayed with my birth parents. My birth mother got some rest while my birth father, Daddy and Mommy played Uno. Daddy played really well (this surprised Mommy because Daddy usually loses at any type of card game). Finally around 1 a.m. everyone decided to get some rest. I was polite and allowed them to rest for an hour before I decided get the party started. My birth mother knew I was coming but the nurse seemed convinced that she needed to wait to push because the doctor wasn't in the room yet because he was delivering another baby. It was pretty silly of the nurse to think that my birth mother didn't know her body well enough to know that I wanted to see the world and didn't want to wait a minute longer. The nurse finally realized that she was in trouble because I was well on my way. Mommy and Daddy opened the door to the room in order to get some help for my biological mother and the nurse (fear not though because my biological father was there, he could have delivered me). Then the doctor came running down the hall in his spiffy cowboy boots to my birth mother's room. He barely had time to get his gloves on when I made my way out into the world. Mommy and Daddy were very excited to see me. Daddy even got to cut my umbilical cord! (Mommy assured Daddy that she will blame him if I have a funny looking belly button.) He was so proud!!

In no time they whisked me off to the nursery to check me out completely. They moved so fast that I didn't have time to blow kisses at my biological mother and father. Daddy and Mommy went to the nursery with the nurse to make sure that I am okay. The picture on this blog is the very first picture of me (Mommy took a lot of pictures of me but that is a story for another day...it is a rather tragic story). They ran all their little tests on me, Mommy tells me that I received A pluses. Aunt Kay and Uncle Carl came right back up to the hospital and were able to come spend time with Mommy and Daddy in the nursery. Mommy ended up getting dizzy in the nursery. She was cold all evening and was layered with clothes but the heat lamps that they had me under made Mommy get too hot, too fast. I am glad she was okay after a little while. Any way, my biological father also came to the nursery to make sure that I was doing well. Daddy tried to tell my biological father how he felt holding me, but he got choked up. My biological father told Daddy that he didn't have to say anything because he knew. Mommy got all teary eyed because she too knew. Mommy let Daddy give me my first bottle and he did great! By 7:30 the next morning Mommy and Daddy were given a private room that I got to stay in with them!
Any way, I am doing great and my biological mother is also doing great! Mommy and Daddy want to thank everyone for all the prayers that my biological mother and I did not have any problems during labor and delivery.

Grandma and Grandpa came back to the hospital early the next morning to see me. They were so happy to meet me. It seems like everyone under the sun came to visit me. Grandpa Len and Granny Bev also came up to the hospital to meet me. More and more people came to see me. Uncle Lenny, Aunt Patty, Auntie Norma, Auntie Tedi, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Laura, Ms. Joann, Uncle Jerry, Auntie Alicia, Auntie Sommer and Amanda, and on and on. I also met my biological grandmother and she held me for a few minutes. My Great Aunt Darlene came too. Aunt Darlene, Daddy and Mommy all wish that my Great Grandma Marie could have been there too. I would have loved to meet her. Sorry if Mommy failed to mention anyone, she was tired and her brain wasn't functioning properly.

All this Aunt business gets confusing so Daddy explained to me that I have real Aunts and honorary Aunts. He says real Aunts trump honorary Aunts but Supreme Aunts trump all and Aunt Darlene is a Supreme..the highest rank. Mommy reminded Daddy that there is still one person in the area that can trump a supreme, Mommy's Great Aunt Sybil. Daddy then revised the pecking order and decided that the Aunt hierarchy is headed by the Super Supreme Aunt Sybil.

Uncle Ronny tried to come to see me but Mommy forgot all about him saying he might stop by to see me. Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Darlene had decided to go get some dinner when Uncle Ronny tried to stop by. He snuck up on them at the restaurant though. Mommy said Uncle Ronny was a bad boy by sneaking around the restaurant to pay for the meal. She loves him though because he has a super duper big heart. Mommy realized on the way back from dinner that she and Daddy weren't very bright because both of them left the premises without making sure that the nursery had their cellular phone numbers in the event there was a problem.

Mommy and Daddy finally got to get some sleep. They both slept on this little gurney that was in our room. They didn't look very comfortable to me but they seemed happy with the arrangements. All they cared about was being able to stay in the same room with me to bond.

Can You See Me Dancing?? Part Deux

Mommy and Daddy went to my appointment yesterday. Mommy was suppose to update the blog yesterday but she wasn't feeling well. Me on the other hand, I am doing very well! My birth mother has been taking excellent care of me. The doctor threatened to hit my birth mother in the head with a turkey drumstick if I decide to make an appearance on Thanksgiving. Any way, my next appointment is next Tuesday morning. The doctor plans on having me make my official debut either late next Tuesday night or the wee hours of Wednesday. I really think these grown ups should not try too hard to make plans because you never know, I may have plans of my own! See you next week, if not before!

Can You See Me Dancing??

Mommy and Daddy went to another appointment today. I have been a very busy boy lately. I still like to dance around in the middle of the night. I should probably settle down a little so that my birth mother can get some rest. Mommy and Daddy got to watch me dance around this morning. Mommy thought it was really cool and kept watching so she could see me dance all around. Any how, my birth mother is dialated about a 1 cm right now. My birth mother and the doctor explained the whole process to Mommy and Daddy so they can understand how the whole "getting ready to give birth" process works. My next appointment is this coming Monday. See you then!

My First Best Friend!

Some daddies hunt, or fish or play golf. My Daddy rides Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and he knows that I want to be a "biker" too.

Today, my Daddy went to the "Build-a-Bear" work shop and built me a riding partner who will be my first best friend.

His name is "Harley Bear" and he is sooo cool!!!! Harley Bear has riding boots, a leather Harley Davidson jacket and even a helmet (Daddy says that smart bikers ride responsibly and always wear helmets).

Daddy picked out all of Harley Bear's gear, and then made him real by putting a heart in him. He told Harley Bear that his job is to be my "pardner" and to look after me, and that is why Harley Bear was born a few days before me -- so he could be at the hospital when I am born and be ready to start showing me around.

Since I already have my riding gear, Daddy told Harley Bear that when Harley Bear tells Daddy that I'm ready, we're gonna all get on Daddy's scooter, a custom 1986 Harley Davidson FXRD, and we're gonna get "in the wind". Cool.

The Royal Chamber Is Finished!! Well Almost!

Hey everybody, Mommy and Daddy got my room put together today! My room is almost complete. Remember, we are now at the mercy of the UPS man and Baby Depot to get the remaining accessories to me in this lifetime. I have to say that the room looks awesome so far. I can't wait to see my very own room. Oh yeah, Mommy and Daddy have to get my book case too so I can put my Noah's Ark nightlight, books and bears on it. Mommy assures me that the book case will be her very next purchase. She better hurry though because it is going to take some work to match my crib and dresser to it. Well, that is my big news of the weekend.

I Told You So!!!!

I have an important announcement: Mommy is a dufus! I told her that she should have ordered all my accessories off the Internet right when she seen that they were available online. But did she listen?? NO!! Mommy and Auntie Norma went to Baby Depot in Little Rock today to get my accessories, but did then have them??? NO!! Mommy and Auntie Norma then went to Baby Depot in North Little Rock to get my accessories, but did they have them??? NO!! So finally it sinks in Mommy's head that she has to order them online. But wait, it gets better! Mommy finally reads the ad in full. The accessories usually ship in two to four weeks. So now, I run the risk of not having my nursery in perfect order by the time I come home. But wait, it gets better! She still has one more window to finish in my room and is one valance short. But did she buy the last valance left in Baby Depot in Little Rock?? Of course not, she said, "Oh I am sure they have it in North Little Rock." But did they have it??? NO!! They still haven't replaced their stock from the last time Mommy ransacked the "Two by Two" section there! Now, Mommy says it is always best to end things on a high note, so here goes. Mommy at least used her head enough in Baby Depot in Little Rock to not put the one valance back in its proper place, so hopefully it will be right where she left it when she goes to get it tomorrow. Secondly, she did order all my accessories and I will EVENTUALLY get them. Third, Mommy used my Baby Depot card to buy me some things I will need.

Can You Say Spoiled?

I score big time presents today!!!! My Auntie Kay and Uncle Carl (you remember them, they are going to be my godparents) gave me some presents today. I have the coolest stroller in the world! It is an Eddie Bauer luxury edition, which came with a matching car seat. All the girls will want to hang out with me because I have one of the coolest rides around. All the boys will drool with envy. Va-Vooooom! I also got some outfits too. Mommy can't wait to see me in the Christmas outfit. I suspect it has more to do with the hat than anything. I also got a gift card to Baby Depot but Mommy said that she is going to spend it for me to get me things I need. What can I say, my godparents got me my own ride but my Mommy takes away my baby credit card. Anyways, I love both my Godparents already. I have a feeling that they are going to play big roles in my life. Thanks you two, will deposit big wet baby kisses on each of you when I meet you!

Can You Hear Me Now? Part Deux

We had another doctor's appointment today. My birth mother's ankles have swollen up and she is suppose to take it easy. I know she will take it easy so that things don't get complicated for the two of us. I should probably take it easy on her too so she can get some rest. I can't help myself though, I love to boogie in the middle of the night. She should call Mommy and Daddy at 2 in the morning to make them wake up too. In any event, everything else is going quite nicely.

Anyway, Daddy whipped out his cell phone and called Auntie Kay so she can listen to my heartbeat. She is going to be my Godmother so she has exam room heartbeat listening privileges. Then one of Daddy's attorney's called, so Daddy made him listen to my heartbeat too. Mommy wasn't too pleased with Daddy talking business when he should have been listening to me. Daddy will learn soon enough that I require 110% of his attention at all times.

They tried to pin the doctor down on a date on which I can make my grand entrance into the world. Looks like the target date is November 30. I have another appointment on Thursday, so we will see if the date sticks like crazy glue.

What's Her Name Has a Name!!

Mommy found out what Noah's wife's name is, it is Naamah! So all you people calling her Sarah, Rebecca and Naomi learn her name!

Noah and What's Her Name!?!

I got another present! I got another present! I am a very lucky boy because I got another present this morning from Miss Jennifer Shipley (no not of the Shipley's donut Shipleys...mommy says bummer). She got me the bestest night light a boy can have, its a Noah's Ark night light (even better than the one that Mommy has been looking for). No one seems to know what Noah's wife's name is though. Any ways, thank you, thank you, Miss Jennifer!!! Big wet baby kisses to you! Daddy really liked the night light.

But guess what else??? My Uncle Wenny (Lenny) a.k.a. Dude also bought me a present. It is a really cool pram to keep me warm this winter (it even met Mommy's standards but Mommy suspects that Aunt Patty made sure that he didn't pick something out a bubba redneck present. You know, something camouflaged!). Uncle Wenny is also going to help Daddy put the Christmas lights up on the house the day after Thanksgiving because a boy has to have the house all decked out for his homecoming and very first Christmas!

Mommy and Daddy get to visit with me tomorrow morning. Maybe the doctor will tell them when I am going to make my official debut. So everyone, keep your fingers crossed!

The Ark Sets Sail!

Mommy, Auntie Tedi, and Auntie Norma finished my mural today! It looks absolutely wonderful, doesn't it? Mommy is not too sure about the ocean but she is going to wait a few days before making a final decision. Thanks Auntie Tedi and Auntie Norma for making my room extra special. No other boy or girl in the whole wide world has such a wonderful mural (or ever will)! They christened the boat the "S.S. HARLEY" (it was Auntie Tedi's brilliant idea to add that feature). That's right, they named the Ark after my puppy, Harley. I probably won't get to spend much time with Harley because she is very sick but she is doing okay right now and Mommy says that Harley is hanging around to meet me. While I won't get to grow up with Harley at least with the "Ark Harley" I can grow up with Harley watching over me. The mural isn't 100% done though. Mommy is planning on painting pictures of Harley, Sebastian and Rufus looking out of the port holes.

Mommy also put my valances up on two of the windows. She needs to stop and get one more valance before she can do my third window. My room is really starting to shape up quite nicely. Mommy is going to make my Uncle Lenny come over next weekend to help Daddy move my furniture into my room.

Daddy and Mommy went to visit my Tetukas and Mociute (Grandpa and Grandma) this weekend. They are really excited about meeting me. I am really excited to meet them too and plan on trying out my Lithuanian skills on Grandma. (Mociute taught Mommy how to say Grandma in Lithuanian). I am not sure about meeting Uncle Dummy and Aunt Sadie (Tetukas' and Mociute's cats) because Uncle Dummy did the old one, two punch on Daddy. Mommy thought it was hilarious! Anyways, that's my big news for the weekend.

Corporate America Finally Comes Through!!!

Mommy finally located all of my accessories!!! She found my hamper, night light, carpet, drawer knobs, and basket liner. I tried to convince her to by them right away off the Internet but Mommy insists on going to Baby Depot to see if they have them in the store so she can carefully examine them. Twenty baby kisses says that she will have to buy them off the Internet!

Mommy has also been working on my Ark this week without Auntie Tedi and Auntie Norma but Rufus and Sebastian have been helping her. Sebastian got into trouble tonight because he tried to eat the paint. It was funny though because when Mommy told Sebastian to stop, he scowled, made this weird little "bllloop bllloop" sound, and took off running. Any way, the mural really close to being done. I am almost positive they will have it done for me this Sunday. I have told Mommy she is to put a picture of it up as soon as it is complete.

Mural Smural Part Deux!

Mommy, Auntie Tedi and Auntie Norma have spent two nights (Halloween and tonight) trying to get my mural done. Mommy and Auntie Tedi definitely underestimated the amount of time they needed to get the mural done. Rufus is the job superintendent and has been trying hard to make everyone get their work done. Fear not everyone, they may not look like it (Mommy, Auntie Tedi and Auntie Norma) but they are a bunch of Picasos. There is a bad monkey in the mural that somebody needs to spank because he is not acting properly. Auntie Tedi and Auntie Norma think that they should just throw the monkey overboard but Mommy wants the monkey to stay on the Ark. Auntie Norma took a picture of the progress made so far but Mommy decided not to publish it because it cut parts of the mural out. Be patient everyone, they plan on getting the mural done this weekend (knock on wood).

They have had a lot of fun working on the project though. The other night Mommy fed them gumbo for dinner. Tonight, they had breakfast for dinner. What's up with that? Anyone think Mommy will let me have eggs, bacon, sausage and toast for dinner??? Ms. Kelly and Uncle Jerry came over tonight too. Ms. Kelly actually knows Auntie Norma but Auntie Norma didn't remember.

Also, Mommy and Daddy both got their flu shots yesterday because they want to keep me safe. Mommy was very happy when they announced that she could not have a flu shot because she is allergic to eggs (Mommy also says that she is highly allergic to needles too but I think she is just one big chicken). After consultation though, the doctor said she could have the shot but Mommy would have to stay at the clinic for a little while to make sure her head did not explode.

Any how, Auntie Tedi and Auntie Norma are coming over Sunday after Mommy and Daddy get back from Grandpa and Grandma's house to work on the mural again.
