Wednesday Is Work Day!!

Hello everybody! Just wanted to give everyone an update on the latest happenings. I didn't have to go to Baby Jail on Monday because it was a holiday. I got to hang out with Mommy all day. Auntie Sommer came for a visit and brought me two presents!! That's right, two presents!! I have two new Dr. Suess books to add to my collection (Remember, Grandpa Len and Granny Bev got me a whole bunch for Christmas). Thanks Auntie Sommer!! Auntie Sommer noticed that I smiled a whole lot for a 12-week old. What can I say, I have a pretty cushy life and everyone loves me (Mommy and Daddy remind me of this at least a million times a day), so I have no reason not to have a smile on my face. I got to play in my Safari Baby Command Center today. I am thinking about having Mommy rotate my exersaucers just to keep things exciting and new. (No, I am not spoiled or demanding!)

Yesterday was blah because I was in Baby Jail. However, I did get to stare at Cecilia all day so a stay in Baby Jail was worth it!. I also got to meet one of my other neighbors last night. I wasn't too pleased with her holding me but as soon as I got back into Daddy's arms I was more than happy to charm her with my dashing smile! Guess what, she was an extra-special blessing to her Mommy and Daddy too just like me! While Mommy knows lots of other adoptive parents, she really likes being able to gain insight from the perspective of someone who was an adoptee.

Mommy actually woke up with the alarm clock today. While Mommy is pretty convinced I was "jabbering" at my mobile at 4:30 a.m. as usual and she was just too tired to notice because Daddy woke her up at 2:00 a.m. (yeah, that's right, it was Daddy not me). Daddy woke her up to ask her where my "nose sucker" was. My furry brother Rufus tried to help me out by hiding it from Mommy and Daddy. Mommy wasn't too pleased about having to look for it because Daddy could have done it himself. Rufus didn't do too good of a job hiding it because Mommy eventually found it. I do have to give Rufus credit though because he put it in a new place rather than trying to hide it under the washer. Rufus for future reference, the nose sucker is wider than the space between the washer and the floor. Hmmm....I may have to tell him to put it in his litter box because I know for a fact that Mommy won't let that near me if it ends up in there.

Since today is Wednesday, that means it was my "workday." Ms. Charlotte doesn't like the fact that Daddy is already making me hold down a steady job but I just LOVE going to work. Mommy says that since Daddy is the C.E.O., Auntie Kay is the C.O.O. and I must be the C.O.B. (that's Chief Operating Baby to all you)! I may be too young for a job but this job is pretty cushy. All I have to do is sit around and smile, cuddle with my godparents, let Uncle Carl and Auntie Kay entertain me and do the usual baby business. Can you believe it, I get paid to do this!!

Daddy forwarded Mommy an e-mail he recieved from Mrs. Jackie J., a woman he met while he was travelling a few weeks ago. It was a message for me that she tried to post as a comment on my blog but it didn't take. She wanted Daddy to share the message with Mommy and that if Mommy felt it was appropriate, she could post it on my blog. Mommy felt it was most appropriate! Mommy included it as a comment on this posting to share with everyone.

Well that is all for now. Oh yeah, since I haven't said it for a while...Where's Joey and Uncle Fester???

Dear Crown Prince Vance,

I met your Daddy in an airport, and all he could talk about is how you have blessed his life along with your Mommy. He could not wait to get home. He called me today and told me about your web site.

I spent the afternoon reading all about you. Thru tears I read about you before you were born and the wonderful day that you came from God as a gift to your Mommy & Daddy. Your web site is also a gift from someone who loves you very much and it is a labor of love.

It was no accident that I met your Daddy on that day. GOD works in very strange ways to send Special Angels Where they are needed. Your Daddy & Mommy shared their feelings and excitement about being adoptive parents. I have an Angel that arrived 6 weeks after you came, and she is very special to a young couple who have been praying for her for three years. She is my great granddaughter and I know she is in a loving home, just like yours.

I pray everyday for her mother and for her and her new family. I am having a hard time with this...but looking at the other side and having met the adoptive parents helps so much. I wish for you and my angel all the love that is being offered to you and when you grow older just remember to ...PASS IT ON. 2/21/06
