T Is For Turkey! D Is For Dessert!

Mommy decided she better sit down and allow me to dictate this weeks happenings because Ms. Jennifer was complaining that my blog hasn't been updated in over a week!!

I had my 6 month well baby check up Tuesday. I am doing GREAT!!! I weigh 20.5 lbs (yeah, I have slowed down some) and I am 28 inches long. Daddy was real angry with my doctor because we had to wait an hour and a half for our appointment. Mommy had to remind Daddy that in every exam room there is probably an "Ed Vance" twenty questioning the doctor about inane things (and important things too). My doctor is the only doctor in the clinic that isn't punctual. Mommy was laughing because she knew that Daddy would forget that he was mad at the doctor as soon as he got in the room. Mommy was right...Daddy was real quick to forget that he waited an hour and a half. Mommy would switch my doctor but I like him and he is the best in the area so he stays. I am doing everything I am suppose to be doing for a boy my age. Daddy was worried that something was wrong with me because the doctor kept asking if I could do this, do that and do the other. Mommy explained to Daddy that he is suppose to ask those questions because I can't tell him what I can and can't do. He didn't ask if I could talk because I was talking up a storm in front of him. Mommy acted as my interpreter when the doctor asked if we had any questions. I have the official okay to eat "meat." Oh yeah, Daddy let the mean nurse give me shots again. Mommy told me she would give me $50 if I didn't cry when the nurse gave me my shots. Mommy was worried for a minute that she would have to pay me. I eventually let it out though! Yup, that's right I was cheated out of $50.

Mommy got really really mad at the wardens in Baby Jail Wednesday!! They have all Mommy's telephone numbers, Daddy's telephone numbers, Aunt Patty's telephone numbers and Uncle Lenny's telephone numbers. Well they left a voicemail on Mommy's desk phone that I had a temperature. The later called Daddy's desk phone and left a message that they tried to call Mommy. Neither Mommy or Daddy were at their desks for a good part of the day! Did any of the dolts at Baby Jail call the numbers they were really suppose to call??? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mommy finally got to her desk at 2:45 and heard the message. She was really really MAD when she called them!!! They were convinced that Mommy was mad too because she turned into the parking lot on two wheels. Charles' grandmother was taking care of me and she knew Mommy was mad but she immediately took responsibility for not calling the #2 number she was suppose to call, which was the direct line to Mommy her cell phone!! Charles' grandmother knew I was okay though because I was happy all day. Sure enough, I was laying in my crib laughing when Mommy walked in the room! Mommy couldn't stay angry with Charles' grandmother though because she likes her. However, if it were Charles' great-grandmother (yeah, that's right my buddy Charles' Mommy, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother all work there) Mommy would still be fuming. Mommy will be happy when Ms. Charlotte returns from vacation.

Oh yeah, Mommy witnessed my girlfriend Ariyanna crawl over to my crib, pull herself up and smile at me when I got to Baby Jail. There are young ladies that are summer helpers for my room! I just love those girls. They just fuss over me all day long. What can I say, I am a babe magnet!

I have been going in reverse for about a week. Well I finally kind of figured out that I can go forward too! I took my first "nose dive" Wednesday night! That's right, I managed to get my knee in the right position and lunged forward and my face dove right into the carpet. Mommy was so proud. She clapped and cheered for me. I was so excited and happy I didn't have time to contemplate whether or not I should cry or anything like that. I don't have the knee thing down yet but I am steadily working at it. Mommy swears that I am going to go crawling all around the house yelling "Mama" when she is in San Diego and then not do it again once we are reunited.

I went to work with Daddy on Thursday even though I didn't have a temperature. I had a blast taking care of Aunt Kay and Uncle Carl all day. Yeah, that's right notice I said taking care of them!! They don't take care of me, I take care of them!! I take real good care of them too because I am really lucky to have such great godparents.

I am still obsessed with green beans; however, since I now have a license to be a carnivore so far I have discovered chicken and turkey. I wasn't too impressed with the chicken. If you ask me chicken is for the birds! Ha! I crack myself up! Anyway, turkey is another story. I just gobbled down the turkey!! Ha! I cracked myself up again!! I really really like turkey (this ought to make Sommer happy)! I gave myself turkey gut from eating so much. Mommy assured me that it is perfectly normal to get turkey gut and that I should get use to it because apparently there is this holiday called Thanksgiving and people customarily get turkey guts and take naps. I have also learned that dessert follows dinner! Applesauce makes an excellent dessert choice.

Anyway, Mommy says that Ryan is going to babysit me for a couple hours tomorrow while Daddy and Mommy get some things in the yard done. I am going to amaze Ryan with my bouncing abilities, boxing skills and my tummy maneuvers!
